The 2014 Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Indiana will be returning to the Versailles State Park on February 22, 2014. Eagle 99.3 is proud to once again be an official media sponsor of this great event!

As Special Olympics Indiana’s signature fundraising event, the Polar Plunge invites Hoosier residents to be “freezin’ for a reason” and “take the plunge” for adults and children with intellectual disabilities. For the last decade, brave souls and warm hearts have jumped into bodies of water in February to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Indiana.  For the sixth year in a row, Special Olympics Indiana will hold 12 Polar Plunge events throughout the state, including one at Versailles State Park on Saturday, February 22.

In order to plunge, participants must raise a minimum of $75.  Awards are given for those who raise the most funds for Special Olympics Indiana.  This wet and wacky event also includes prizes for the best costume, incentives for dollars raised and an After Splash Bash.

The Versailles Polar Plunge features a large heated tent, food and various vendors, music and more. Also featured at the Versailles location is the Polar Climb; a 3K walk and 5K run through the scenic hills and woods of Versailles State Park that will take you to a spectacular view of Versailles Lake, the official Plunge site.
