Aid Organizations Struggle To Help Iraqi Refugees

(Undated) — As ISIS militants continue to threaten Iraq’s religious minorities with death, aid organizations are struggling to help those in need. David Curry is the president of Open Doors USA.

Just yesterday, officials in northern Iraq said ISIS fighters massacred dozens of Yazidis in a village there. ISIS has made big gains in Iraq, and is said to be making good on their threat to “convert or be killed.” The U.S. has stepped up military action on the orders of President Obama, including airstrikes and providing arms to Kurdish forces in the area.

Open Doors USA President David Curry says Iraqi refugees who’ve been forced to flee from ISIS are in urgent need of help.

Curry says the goal is not to permanently relocate Iraq’s religious minorities.
