Atheist Group Complains About Cemetery Cross

(Liberty, IN) — A 14-inch white cross at a state park in east-Central Indiana is sparking a debate over religious symbols on public land. The Freedom From Religion Foundation has complained to state park officials about the cross attached to a war veterans memorial statue at Whitewater Memorial State Park. They say it promotes Christianity and sends a message that the government only cares about the deaths of Christian soldiers.
