Ballmer Steps Down From Microsoft Board

(Washington, DC) — Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer is stepping down from the company’s board as he turns his attention to owning the LA Clippers. In a letter to Microsoft’s current CEO, Ballmer said he has become very busy in the six months since he retired from the top position in the company. He wrote that even though he “bleeds” Microsoft, it would be impractical for him to remain on the board. Ballmer was greeted with a standing ovation by Clippers fans last night at Staples Center. Ballmer told the crowd there that he couldn’t be more excited about the future.
