CT Pumps Billions Into Rails
(New Haven, CT) — The state of Connecticut continues to pump billions of dollars into its rails. That’s the word from Governor Dannel Malloy, who today took a tour of the New Haven Rail Yard, which is undergoing a one-and-a-half-billion-dollar upgrade and expansion. He also announced a fifth new power supply substation that’s been put into service on Metro North’s New Haven line, increasing options to reduce the chance of future prolonged power failures. Last fall a power outage on the New Haven Line in Mount Vernon, New York disrupted service for two weeks.
