Dierks Bentley Gets Feedback From U2′s Bono

(Undated) — Dierks Bentley says he’d love to collaborate with U2 frontman Bono. But for now the country star is satisfied just to get the rocker’s feedback. Dierks tells “Country Weekly” he struck up a friendship with Bono a few years ago at an event in Nashville. He explains that as he worked on his new album, he asked Bono for his thought on the track “Here on Earth,” which Dierks wrote about losing his father. He says Bono praised the song. Bentley adds that when Bono described the lyrics as reminiscent of a prayer, he was thrilled and amazed that Bono “totally gets it.” All of Dierks fans will get to hear the song soon. “Riser” arrives in stores on Tuesday.
