“Fashion Police” Taping Canceled As Joan Rivers Remains In Hospital

(New York, NY) — E! has reportedly canceled this week’s taping of Joan Rivers’ show “Fashion Police” as the legendary comedian remains in serious condition at a hospital in New York City. The talk show was set to film episodes in conjunction with New York’s Fashion week, but a source tells the “Daily News” that they’re taking a break. So far there’s no word on when taping will resume. Rivers is reportedly being brought out of her medically-induced coma, but doctors won’t know the extent of the damage until Tuesday.
The 81-year-old was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital Thursday after reportedly going into cardiac arrest during a medical procedure. Her daughter Melissa Rivers said in a statement Sunday that they’re “keeping their fingers crossed” and hoping for the best. She also thanked everyone for the outpouring of support and prayers.
