Garth Brooks’ Chicago Concert Tickets Going On Sale

(Undated) — Garth Brooks fans in Chicago can start making plans to see the country superstar. Tickets for his upcoming concert at the Allstate Arena on September 4th go on sale Friday. They’ll cost a total of 65-dollars-and 50-cents, and on Friday will only be available from Ticketmaster and Ticketmaster Express by phone or online — not from the arena’s box office or any Ticketmaster outlet. No other dates have been announced yet for Brooks’ tour, which will be the singer’s first trek in over a decade. Friday was also when Garth was slated to launch his five-night stand in Dublin, which was scrapped over licensing issues. Economy experts tell the UK’s “Guardian” the cancellations are costing the city more than 67-million dollars in revenue that would have been generated by the 400-thousand fans who’d planned to go to the shows.

Meanwhile Dubliners apparently don’t want to see or hear any performance relating to the country singer. The “Irish Independent” says a local pub had booked a Garth Brooks tribute artist to play shows on Sunday and Monday, but was forced to cancel the booking when local residents complained.
