Nigeria Bombing Kills 13 Watching World Cup Soccer
(Undated) — At least 13 people are dead in Nigeria after a bomb went off where people were gathered to watch World Cup soccer on TV. No one has claimed responsibility for the Tuesday night bombing, but the attack happened in a part of northeast Nigeria where the Islamist militant group Boko Haram is active. The bombing came one night after an attack in Kenya. Nearly 50 people were killed Monday in a mass shooting at a World Cup viewing site. The Somali al-Qaeda affiliate group al-Shabaab claimed responsibility.
