Ohio State QB Miller to miss season

Columbus, OH (SportsNetwork.com) – Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller will miss the entire 2014 season with a right shoulder injury, the school confirmed Tuesday.

The senior quarterback and Heisman Trophy contender re-injured the shoulder while throwing a short pass during practice on Monday but says his college career isn’t over.

“I am on course to graduate in December and I want to attend graduate school, and then return to lead the Buckeyes next season,” Miller said in a statement.

The dynamic quarterback racked up 2,094 yards and 24 touchdowns passing last season with 1,068 yards and 12 TDs rushing to earn the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year award for a second time.

Miller underwent offseason surgery on the same shoulder and said he was back to being 100 percent before re-injuring it.
