Sen. Whelan: Atlantic City’s Trump Plaza To Close

(Atlantic City, NJ) – Another Atlantic City casino is closing its doors. New Jersey State Senator Jim Whelan says the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino will most likely deliver notices to its employees next week. The Trump Plaza, which has been a fixture in Atlantic City for more than 20 years, is expected to close this fall. The news comes after the Showboat Casino and Hotel announced in June it was shutting its doors at the end of August. Atlantic City’s gambling industry has been struggling for the past few years, as more and more casinos opened in the Northeast.
