Study Suggests Dog Owner Education To Tackle Obesity

(Liverpool, UK) — A new study from the University of Liverpool suggests dog owner education and more pet facilities will help motivate people to get out and exercise more. It is estimated 40-percent of dog owners don’t take their dogs for a walk. The study showed many pet owners don’t understand how much exercise their dog needs. The findings also showed pet owners were less likely to walk their dogs if there had no access to dog parks.
