Thomas Rhett Shares One Of His Career Highlights

(Nashville, TN) — Thomas Rhett says opening Jason Aldean’s show at the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium is among the highlights of his career so far. Thomas says his family’s history with the venue helped make the concert even more special for him.

Thomas adds that he received a special gift after the show — a “plant from one of the hedges in a Georgia plant box.” Rhett says it was also “pretty cool” just to spend the day in Athens with Aldean and Luke Bryan, who — like him — are originally from Georgia, and to be a part of the first-ever concert played at Sanford Stadium.

More than 66-thousand fans attended the show, which took place in April 2013 as part of Aldean’s “Night Train” tour. The concert also featured Florida native Jake Owen, while another Georgian — rapper Ludacris — made a surprise appearance during Aldean’s headlining set.
