U.S. Scores Silver In Men’s 5,000m Short Track

(Sochi, Russia) — The U.S. is the silver medal winner in the men’s five-thousand-meter short track speed skating final. The team of Eduardo Alvarez, J.R. Celski, Chris Creveling and Jordan Malone finished in a time of six-minutes, 42.371 seconds. That was .271 seconds behind Russia, which set a new Olympic record to claim the gold. Team USA was in fourth place out of eight after the semifinals. China ended in six-minutes, 48.341 seconds to earn the bronze medal.
