White House Cheers Latest Jobs Report

(Washington, DC) — White House spokesman Josh Earnest is cheering the latest jobs report.

Earnest called it a strong report and further evidence that the economy is on the right track after the deep recession. The economy added 288-thousand jobs last month and unemployment dropped to six-point-one percent. Earnest said the private sector has added nine-point-seven million jobs over 52 consecutive months. He insisted that there is much more to do to help struggling families and he called on congressional Republicans to join the White House and “capitalize on this momentum.”
