Toyota Moving Jobs From Kentucky To Washtenaw County

(York Twp., MI) -- Toyota will be moving 250 jobs to Michigan from Kentucky. The Japanese automaker was awarded a four-million-dollar grant by the Michigan Strategic Fund for the project. Toyota is moving purchasing positions to Michigan as part of its North American consolidation efforts. The company's headquarters are also moving from California to Texas.

(Lexington, KY) -- Today is the eighth anniversary of one of the saddest days in Kentucky history. On August 27th, 2006, Comair Flight 5191 crashed at the Blue Grass Airport after taking off from the wrong runway, killing 49 people. The only survivor was one of the plane's pilots.
