indiana-votes-2014-graphic-300px-01302014(Undated) – There is not much time remaining to file for a run for your local school board in Indiana.

Most southeast Indiana school districts will have school board seats up for grabs this Fall.

School board races in the state are non-partisan, so no candidates ran in the May primary election. August 22 at noon is the deadline to file for school board races appearing on the November 4 ballot.

People who want to run can file at their local county clerk’s office. However, candidates residing in Ripley County, but running for Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools’ Board of School Trustees, must file in Dearborn County, according to Ripley County Clerk of Courts election Deputy Diane Macek.
