(Hebron, Ky.) – A teenager is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle this past weekend in northern Kentucky.

According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, a 15-year-old skateboarder was struck by a vehicle around 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The unidentified driver was attempting to make a left hand turn onto Coral Drive in Hebron.

The teen would be trapped under the vehicle until Deputy Ryan Strange and several onlookers jacked up the car far enough for medics to pull the boy out.

The teen was airlifted to UC Hospital where he is being treated for multiple injuries.

According to a website set up by the victim’s family, the teen is suffering from three fractured ribs, fractured clavicle, burns on his stomach, and a collapsed lung. The family is still waiting to learn about possible brain damage.
