Dearborn County Engineer Todd Listerman says construction on Stateline Road at the hill is expected to start in September and be completed by the end of October, if everything goes right.

The road will be closed during the construction work to fix a 300 foo section of the road that is slipping off a hillside.

Original story posted Thursday, August 7 at 11:31 a.m.:

(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Repairs are in the works for the Stateline Road hill.

Dearborn County Engineer Todd Listerman says slip repair is needed on Stateline Road about 1.5 miles north of U.S. 50.

Paul Rohe Company, of Aurora, is the low bidder for the project at $200,959. Three other companies also submitted bids, but each were well over Paul Rohe Company’s bid amount.

Listerman says he has requested that INDOT award the contract to the construction company.

No timeline on construction has been announced.

When are they going to repair US 62 from Dillsboro to Friendship? This road has been slipping away for years.
