By Travis Thayer
(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Three nominees have been selected as finalists to become Indiana’s next Supreme Court justice.
The Judicial Nominating Commission selected Hon. Steven L. Hostetler, Hon. Matthew C. Kincaid, and Mr. Geoffrey G. Slaughter as its three nominees for the Indiana Supreme Court.
The JNC chose the three finalists out of 30 judges and lawyers who applied for the state Supreme Court.
One of the three will be selected by Governor Mike Pence to replace Justice Brent Dickson, who is retiring April 29 after 30 years on the bench.
The JNC will submit a report to Gov. Pence in the upcoming days, and he will then have 60 days to appoint one of the nominees to the Court.
