I-275 Bridge To Be Painted
Press release from Indiana Department of Transportation
(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Construction signs will be put in place Monday, April 11 for an Indiana Department of Transportation bridge maintenance project on Interstate 275 just west of the Ohio state line. The I-275 bridge is over an access road located 1.34 miles north of U.S. Highway 50.
Three Star Painting of Merrillville is the state’s contractor for this $147,999 project. Sandblasting operations are expected to begin early next week along the underside of the steel beam structure. Beam painting should be completed within three weeks—weather permitting.
INDOT officials do not anticipate lane restrictions on the bridge itself. The access road below will be limited to a single lane with occasional full closures. Access road traffic volume is negligible.
