AIM Young Professionals 5K Coming Up May 17

(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Time to put on your running shoes and help AIM Young Professionals make the 3rd Annual AIM YP 5K a success.
The 5K Run/Walk, AIM’s largest fundraiser of the year, will be on Saturday, May 17 starting at 9:00 a.m. Registration and check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. The race on the Lawrenceburg Bike Trail begins and ends at the Ohio River Levee Clock outside Ivy Tech Community College at 50 Walnut Street, in Lawrenceburg.
All funds raised during this fun and competitive event goes toward the scholarships awarded to Dearborn County high school students as well as the Maverick Challenge High School Business Planning Competition.
There are many ways you can participate in this event such as running or walking in the race, volunteering to work at the event or becoming a sponsor of the 5K.
Runners and walkers can register at www.runningtime.net by Wednesday, May 14 for a cost of $20 for participants 14 or older and $10 for kids 13 and under. Pre-registration by May 14 includes a free AIM YP 5K t-shirt. Strollers are allowed for free.
Registrations placed after May 14 will see the cost increase to $25 for ages 14 or older and the 5K t-shirt will cost $10.
Awards will be presented immediately following the race for the overall top male and female runners and walkers. Also, age group awards will be given to the top male and female runners and walkers in each division.
Runner divisions: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60 and over.
Walker divisions: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.
