Announcement Planned For New Ivy Tech SE Chancellor

(Columbus, Ind.) – A new chancellor for Ivy Tech Community College’s newly combined Columbus and Southeast regions will be introduced soon.

An announcement is set for Thursday afternoon, July 17 in Columbus. The introduction will be made by Ivy Tech President Thomas J. Snyder.

For the Ivy Tech campuses in Lawrenceburg, Batesville, and Madison, Mark Graver has been serving as the interim chancellor since longtime Dearborn County educator Jim Helms retired in January.

That same month, the community college also announced a massive statewide reorganization aimed at lowering costs. The plan including merging some regions and downsizing from 14 regional chancellors to just 11.

The new Columbus/Southeast region chancellor will provide leadership for Ivy Tech locations serving the counties of Ripley, Dearborn, Ohio, Switzerland, Jefferson, Decatur, Jackson, Jennings, Brown, and Bartholomew.
