(Dearborn County, Ind.) – If you are teacher in Dearborn County, a $500 grant could have your name on it.

Applications are now available for the annual Dearborn County Retired Teachers Foundation Educator Grant/Award.

Each year, the grant provides funding for a Dearborn County teacher to purchase educational materials for his or her special classroom or school project. Special consideration will be given to creative or unique projects.

All Dearborn County teachers are eligible for the grant. Teachers must be nominated by an administrator or a colleague, a Dearborn County retired teacher, or apply by personal application.

Grant forms with letter of recommendation must be completed and submitted to the Dearborn County Retired Teachers Foundation by March 31. Please send applications to Educator Grant/Award Committee Chairman Betty Bourquein, 331 Abby Lane, Batesville, IN 47006, or bourquein@etczone.com.

The award winner will be notified in April and the winner will be formally honored at the general meeting of the Dearborn County Retired Teachers in June.
