Batesville Is Barking For A Park

Posted On June 12, 2012

(Batesville, Ind.) – Batesville is competing to win $100,000 for a new dog park.

The city is part of the “Bark for Your Park” contest sponsored by PetSafe.

To win, Batesville will need more online votes than other competing cities at www.PetSafe.net. Votes can be cast twice a day – once on the PetSafe site and once via Facebook.

Voting continues through Thursday, June 14. The website will announce 15 finalist cities on June 15 followed by a second round of online voting through July 24.

A surprise winner will be announced August 3.

Batesville doesn’t need the most votes to come out as one of the contest’s top dogs. The runner-up city and the city with the highest percentage of votes to population will also be awarded the $25,000 Bark from Your Heart award.
