Batesville Middle School Principal Is Indiana’s MS Principal Of The Year

(Batesville, Ind.) – On Sunday, November 19, 2017, the Indiana Association of School Principals recognized David Strouse, principal at Batesville Middle School, in Batesville, Indiana, as the 2017 State Middle School Principal of the Year.

He was also named District Middle School Principal of District 10. District 10 is located in southeast Indiana and is made up of Dearborn, Decatur, Fayette, Franklin, Hancock, Jennings, Ripley, Rush, Shelby and Union counties.

The recognition ceremony was a part of the 2017 Principals of the Year Recognition Celebration, a part of IASP’s annual Fall Professional Conference.

The award was presented at a dinner at the Indianapolis J.W. Marriott Hotel with IASP State President, David Strouse, presiding along with Todd Bess, Executive Director.

District Middle School Principals of the Year are elected by their peers.  One principal is honored from each of the 12 districts.  From these 12 District Middle School Principal winners, David was chosen as the 2017 State Middle School Principal of the Year. David will represent Indiana at the National Association of Secondary School Principals Recognition Program in the Fall of 2018.

The Indiana Association of School Principals is a not-for-profit, professional association serving over 2700 building level administrators in the state of Indiana.
