(Batesville, Ind.) – Batesville High School’s newly remodeled performing arts center was unveiled to the community on Saturday.

The school welcomed the public on Saturday to tour the $10 million in upgrades.

The opening night of the newly renovated Batesville High School Auditorium, Jolene Rockwood of the Rockwood Foundation and the Batesville Rural Alliance for the Arts were honored for their $275,000 donation to Batesville Community School Corporation for the renovation of the auditorium.

BCSC Superintendent Paul Ketcham officially dedicated and declared the Batesville High School auditorium open for business for BCSC students and the Batesville community as the curtains rose for Three Bros Till Christmas, the school’s fall drama directed by Mrs. Lisa Barnett and Mr. Paul Satchwill.

“Tonight’s dedication of this newly renovated auditorium is happening because of community leadership, the willingness to invest in students and the desire of this community to improve our facilities for students,” said Ketcham.

“The generous $275,000 donation is simply incredible and sincerely appreciated! The newly renovated Batesville High School auditorium will serve our students and our community for generations.”
