(Milan, Ind.) – The founder of a local trucking company has received a high accolade for his career of contributions to the trucking industry in Indiana.

Robert Baylor, President of Milan-based Baylor Trucking, was recently honored with the Indiana Motor Truck Association’s Founders Award.

“This is the highest honor in the trucking industry for the state of Indiana,” said Cari Baylor, Vice President of Baylor Trucking and Robert’s daughter.

The American Trucking Association’s national chairman, Phil Byrd, presented the award in person to Robert Baylor. “The trucking industry is better because of your efforts,” Byrd told him.

Also, Baylor Trucking is getting into the spirit of the holidays with the offer of donations of food to southeast Indiana’s needy. The trucking company will be donating 70 cases of cereal to the Milan Council of Churches, the Soup Kitchen at Hamline United Methodist Church, and the YES Home.

If you know of a local charity that would benefit from a donation of food, please contact Baylor Trucking at (812) 623-2020.
