(Switzerland County, Ind.) – Belterra Casino Resort has competed the latest phase of a $15 million renovation project.

“These improvements underscore our commitment to providing a best in class experience for not just our loyal guests, but also to creating memorable and productive experiences for meeting planners and convention goers across the Midwest,” said Sue Ascanio, vice president and general manager of the Switzerland County riverboat.

The riverboat in Switzerland County announced Tuesday that it has renovated its 5,500 square feet of meeting and convention space. Upgrades include all-new imported carpeting, elegant wall fixtures and sconces along with new seating to make for an even more comfortable and luxurious meeting experience.

The resort also has wi-fi internet access at speeds up to 100 megabits per second, which it claims is faster than many regional convention spaces or hotels.

Renovated hotel rooms, three new restaurants, updated common areas and cosmetic updates on the casino floor are other aspects of Belterra’s three year, $15 million capital improvement project.

Belterra owner Pinnacle Entertainment’s continued investment in the property has paid off. While competing southeast Indiana riverboats saw less revenue in 2015, Belterra Casino saw a 5.5 percent increase is revenue from 2014. Belterra’s gaming revenue was $108.3 million last year.

“We are very proud of our resort, our offerings and our team. We know that because of our financial commitment to our business we will continue to see great success,” Ascanio said.
