Bicycle, Car Collide Sending Rider To Hospital

(Batesville, Ind.) – A man is expected to recover after he collided with a car while riding his bike on a Batesville street Tuesday.

Batesville Police say Abram Sitterding, 26, of Batesville, was driving on Boehringer Street when he stopped at the intersection with Main Street. As Sitterding began to proceed through the intersection, David McConnell, 63, was riding a bicycle Main Street.

Officers say McConnell crossed into the path of Sitterding’s car and was hit.

McConnell was taken to Margaret Mary Health in Batesville to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
