(Burlington, Ky.) – An escaped inmate is the subject of a manhunt by Boone County police.

Boone County Detention Center inmate Zachary Boling was part of a work detail Friday morning  on Idlewild Road in Burlington when he walked away at around 10:00 a.m.

Boling, 20, is described as a white male, 5’11”, 155 lbs. with a thin build, brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, and tan work boots.  Police say Boling last known address is on Homan Street in Covington, Kentucky. He also has ties to Cincinnati.

Boling has been serving a six year sentence on a drug conviction. He’s now likely facing a new charge of Escape in the 2nd Degree, sheriff’s deputies said.
