(Cincinnati, Oh.) – There is some good news regarding the Brent Spence Bridge Maintenance Project.

Project officials say this coming weekend marks the last weekend lane closures on the bridge. At approximately 9:00 p.m. Friday, travel on Interstate 71/75 southbound will be reduced to one lane to allow crews to complete work on the eastern-most lanes and transition the southbound deck back to a four-lane travel configuration.

Next week, crews will begin restoring the northbound deck of the bridge back to a four-lane travel configuration. During this time, travel on northbound lanes will be reduced to one lane. All four northbound lanes will be restored for traffic no later than 5:00 a.m. on Friday, August 25.

All project-related ramp closures will also re-open in the early morning hours of August 25.

Although the 24/7 multi-lane closures will end next week, maintenance work will continue to require periodic single-lane closures on the bridge though mid-November.
