(Brookville, Ind.) – INDOT is preparing to make the switch in Brookville.

U.S. 52/State Road 1/Main Street through downtown Brookville has been undergoing a rebuild since February. INDOT says traffic will be moved to two 11-foot-wide lanes on the east side of Main Street on Thursday, July 13.

The lane switches will allow work crews to get into phase two of the construction, installing new sidewalks, curbs, and street lights. Parking will be allowed on the west side of Main Street where contractors are not working.

Weather could delay the traffic change.

The $2.73 million Main Street project is expected to wrap up by October 13.
