(Brookville, Ind.) – The fate of Brookville Town Pool could rest with a fundraising study.

The Franklin County Observer newsletter reports Town Council voted on Tuesday to pay $5,750 for a feasibility study to investigate a solution for the pool.

The pool was closed last summer after a large water leak – 35,000 gallons per day – was found. The pool remained closed in 2017.

The purpose of the study will help determine if a pool fundraising campaign is viable. Town Council says a new Brookville Pool could cost approximately $2 million.

The results of the study are expected to be available within three to four months.
