(Whitewater Township, Oh.) – A bank in Whitewater Township was held up Tuesday afternoon.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s investigators say a man entered the Miami Savings & Loan on the 8008 block of Ferry Street at around 1:36 p.m. and told a teller he had a gun. He demanded money, but never showed a weapon.

The suspect made off on-foot with an undetermined amount of cash. The area was searched by K-9 units and a helicopter along with help from neighboring police agencies, but the subject was able to avoid immediate capture.

Investigators learned that the suspect was in another bank nearby just prior to the robbery at Miami Savings & Loan. Security video was obtained from both locations.

Nobody was hurt at either bank.

Now, police are trying to identify the suspect. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s with brown hair and a moustache. He was wearing a white, long-sleeve, button-down shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on this subject or the robbery is asked to contact the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Section at (513) 851-6000 or Crime Stoppers at (513) 352-3040.
