Carrigan, Simon Named ORVC Girls Basketball Co-Players Of The Week

(Rising Sun, Ind.) – Two of the top high school basketball players in the area have earned Ohio River Valley Conference weekly honors.

The ORVC report for the week of November 13-18 was released on Wednesday.

Rising Sun’s Lucy Carrigan and Jac-Cen-Del’s Lilly Simon shared ORVC Girls Basketball Player of the Week honors.

Carrigan played three games last week, totaling 66 points, 18 rebounds and five steals. The Lady Shiners star currently leads the ORVC in scoring at 23.4 points per game.

Lilly Simon played one less game last week, but was equally impressive. The Lady Eagles star filled up the stat sheet with 44 points, 13 assists, 12 rebounds, and 10 steals in two games. Simon currently leads the ORVC with 32 assists and is third in scoring at 18.4 ppg.

Danyka Groover (RS) – 31 pts, 26 rebs in 3 games

Kate Grote (SM) – 17 pts, 5 stl, 4 rebs, 2 ast vs. New Washington

Elexah Roepke (SR) – 14 pts, 3 rebs, 3 ast, 3 stl vs. South Decatur

Kiley Sparks (SR) – 10 pts, 8 stl, 7 rebs, 5 ast vs. South Decatur

Morgan Peetz (SR) – 12 pts, 4 rebs, 4 stl, 2 ast vs. South Decatur

Mariah Day (JCD) – 34 pts, 19 stl, 14 ast, 7 rebs, 6 3’s in 2 games

Morgen Carroll (JCD) – 22 pts, 20 rebs in 2 games
