Chamber Is Restructuring After Director Leaves
(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Initiative, and Convention Visitors and Tourism Bureau will undergo a restructuring.
The chamber confirmed last week that Mike Rozow is no longer leading or with the organizations as executive director. It was a move that surprised many in the local business community.
In speaking with Eagle 99.3 Wednesday, Dearborn County Chamber Board of Directors President Kathy Patterson did not offer a reason for Rozow’s separation. She did, however, say that the three organizations are in a regrouping phase.
The Chamber, EDI, and Tourism Bureau are all based in the same office in Lawrenceburg.
“We’re taking a look at the structure of the combined organizations,” Patterson said, adding that a search for a new executive director is not imminent.
Patterson said the annual Chamber Expo previously scheduled for Thursday, May 16 at the Dearborn Adult Center in Lawrenceburg has been cancelled.
“We’ll be looking to do it bigger and better next year at the (Lawrenceburg hotel) and convention center,” she said.
Realizing business never stops, board members are taking over the leadership role at each of the three organizations. Patterson is the interim point person for the chamber of commerce while Bill Ritzman oversees the EDI and Dave Lorey is the main contact for the Dearborn County Convention Visitors and Tourism Bureau.
