Clean Your Home, Community This Weekend

(Aurora, Ind.) – Two Dearborn County communities are inviting residents to do some spring cleaning this weekend.
Both Aurora and Dillsboro will hold Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 26.
The City of Aurora says that Best Way Disposal will begin pickup at 5:00 a.m. Saturday. Residents should have their trash items on the curbside by 11:00 p.m. Friday.
There city has placed dumpsters in the parking lot behind the Aurora Lions Club with staff available to assist. The drop-off area will be open from 9 a.m. to noon.
Also this weekend, the Dearborn County Recycling Center on U.S. 50 will be accepting all household hazardous waste, including household chemicals, electronics, oil based paints and other oil based products on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The service is for Aurora residents only. They must show an ID to prove their residency.
In Dillsboro, residents can help clean public areas on Saturday. Citizens are asked to meet at Dillsboro Town Hall at 9:00 a.m. There everyone will be split into groups and sent out to pickup trash.
The Town of Dillsboro is also offering heavy item pickup on Friday and Saturday. Items such as tires, paints, household hazardous materials or appliances with freon will not be accepted. Items must be placed along the curb side for easy pickup.
