Community Control, Drug Treatment For Store Burglar
By Mike Perleberg
(Harrison, Oh.) – A Harrison man who burglarized a Whitewater Township convenience store has been sentenced, but will avoid additional jail time.
Last month, Kevin Lockwood, 25, broke into the Marathon station on Harrison Avenue in Miamitown. He was charged with breaking and entering and theft after allegedly admitting the crime to police.
On Tuesday, Lockwood was in a Hamilton County courtroom where he pleaded guilty, WLWT-TV reports. The judge sentenced Lockwood to three years community control and a drug treatment program.
A second suspect, Brittany Long, was also accused in the break in. Long, also of Harrison, was a former employee of the store who allegedly provided Lockwood a key to gain entry. A plea hearing has been scheduled for March 10.
