Cops & Kids Program Serves 284 Area Kids

(Aurora, Ind.) – Local police have helped brighten the holidays for some local kids.

The annual Cops & Kids shopping event took place at Walmart in Aurora on Saturday morning. Police officers took 284 children shopping for new toys.

The event is put on by the Laughery Valley Fraternal Order of Police. The organization represents officers from across southeastern Indiana.

Other organizations who supported the program include Dearborn Community Foundation, Ohio County Regional Foundation, SIEOC, BangTown, Combs Pizza, Women Armed and Ready, and many more private donors.
