UPDATE: Two Seriously Injured In SR 48 Head-On Crash

Lawrenceburg Police say two drivers suffered serious injuries in a crash near Dearborn County Hospital.
The wreck happened at about 6:30 a.m. Friday when one of the two vehicles crossed the center line on State Road 48 at Sunnyslope Drive, striking the other head-on.
Both drivers had to be extricated from their vehicles. They were then transported to Dearborn County Hospital. Chief of Police DOnnie COmbs said he believes both were transported to a hospital in Cincinnati with severe injuries.
The names of the victims have not been released.

State Road 48 has reopened at the crash scene near Sunnyslope Drive, according to Lawrenceburg Fire Chief Johnnie Tremain.

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A person is trapped in their vehicle following a crash in Lawrenceburg Friday morning.
Two vehicles reportedly collided on State Road 48 near Sunnyslope Drive at around 6:30 a.m.
It is unclear if any of the individuals involved were injured.
