airplane-landing-cvg.jpg(Hebron, Ky.) – If you see what appears to be an emergency situation in the area of the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport on Friday morning, do not worry because it is only a drill.

The airport is holding a mandatory disaster drill required every three years by the Federal Aviation Administration. The drill beginning at 9:00 a.m. and ending by 11:00 a.m. will test the airport’s emergency plan.

The full-scale drill will include 100 volunteers, 70 ambulances, and 12 fire trucks. Smoke may also be seen in the area.

CVG officials say that flights will not be impacted by the drill.
