Dearborn Co. 4-H Fair Underway

Fair(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Prepare the funnel cake, livestock, and carnival rides. It’s fair week in Dearborn County!

 

The annual Dearborn County 4-H and Community Fair begins Monday. The theme of this year’s fair is “4-H 4 U.”

 

Monday’s activities include 4-H member exhibits going on display, a poultry show, and junior youth livestock judging contest during the day. A muddy hog round up contest begins at 7:00 p.m. near the fair office.

 

EAGLE 99.3 WILL BE BROADCASTING LIVE FROM THE DEARBORN COUNTY 4-H AND COMMUNITY FAIR TUESDAY FROM 10:00 A.M.-NOON AND WEDENSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 2:00-6:00 P.M.

 

Opening night main stage events include the fair prince and princess crowning. The 4-H fair queen will be crowned during the queen pageant starting at 8:00. Local musician D.J. Adkins performs at 9:00.

 

Other fair highlights are the Little Miss and Mister Pageant on Tuesday at 6:30, cutest baby contest Wednesday at 6:30, live music by national bluegrass act The Grascals Thursday at 8:00, Dearborn County Idol singing contest Friday at 7:00, and music by Hot Wax on Saturday starting at 8:00. The midway and rides open each day of the fair at 5:00 p.m.
