Dearborn Commissioner Earns State Commission Appointment
By Mike Perleberg
(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Dearborn County Commissioner Kevin Lynch has been appointed to the Indiana Integrated Public Safety Commission.
Lynch announced his appointment by Governor Mike Pence on Friday.
The commission was established in 1999 to coordinate Project Hoosier SAFE-T. The commission also has authority over other multi-agency public safety issues.
According to the IPSC website, Project Hoosier SAFE-T aims to establish a statewide, interoperable, wireless public safety communications system for Indiana local, state, and federal first responders/public safety officials. SAFE-T allows seamless, interoperable and reliable communications among local, state, and federal public safety agencies during routine, emergency and task force situations.
