(Ohio County, Ind.) – A Lawrenceburg man is accused of driving drunk and crashing his car into a house in Ohio County.

Sheriff’s deputies say the accident happened just before 9:00 Wednesday night on State Road 56 at Thuermer Hollow Road. The driver, 22-year-old Joshua Michael Moore, was driving a Pontiac Grand Am northbound when the vehicle traveled off the highway and struck the home of Amy Prather.

Nobody was hurt. Only minor damage was done to the residence.

Moore attempted to tell deputies that black ice was the cause, but deputies say they could find no ice on the highway. They did observe tire marks that indicated Moore traveled left-of-center, overcorrected, and went off the roadway.

Moore was allegedly found to have a BAC of .19, more than double the legal driving limit in Indiana.

Moore is charged with three counts of misdemeanor OWI. He was also cited for driving left of center.
