(Walton, Ky.) – An urgent search is underway for a disabled northern Kentucky veteran’s stolen service dog.

The three-year-old husky named Gunner was apparently taken off his chain as he was let outside for a few minutes at his owner’s Walton home during a winter storm on Friday, January 12.

Gunner is trained to alert Bryan Vallandingham and his family when he’s about to have a seizure.  Bryan is a 100 percent disabled veteran.

Flyers have been posted in several communities in hopes of finding Gunnar and returning him to the Vallandinghams as soon as possible.

Anybody who may spot Gunner or know of his whereabouts should call (859) 905-8255 or (859) 250-1615. A reward is being offered for the dog’s return.
