Dog Gone Cold Rescue In Harrison

(Harrison, Oh.) – Harrison firefighters burst into action after a dog fell through a frozen pond Tuesday.

Lester the dog ventured out onto the pond at the Parks of Whitewater community off of New Haven Road.

A Harrison firefighter used a ladder to scoot across the ice and reach Lester. The firefighter then pulled the dog out of the pond and to safety.

The fire department said Lester was taken by his owner to Harrison Animal Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.
