Duke Energy Names New East District Manager

(Plainfield, Ind.) – Duke Energy has named Cathy Wenning as its new east district manager, which covers Dearborn, Decatur, Fayette, Franklin, Hancock, Ohio, Ripley, Rush, Shelby, Union and Wayne counties.

 

Former east district manager Pat More is now managing the company’s south district.

 

Since 2010 Wenning has served as Duke Energy’s district manager in Johnson, Hancock, Shelby and Rush counties. Her responsibilities have now expanded to include the company’s eastern service area.

 

“The district manager’s job is to serve as a liaison between the local community and Duke Energy,” Wenning said. “Our company has a long tradition of service and support in the communities where we are privileged to do business. I am eager to develop the long-term relationships that are so vital for a successful partnership with our communities.”

 

Wenning joined Duke Energy in 1987 and has worked in information technology, vendor management, call center operations, community relations and economic development for the company.

 

Wenning earned her bachelor’s degree from Morehead State University in Morehead, Ky. She also earned her master’s degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. She and her husband, Mark, live near Greensburg, Ind.
