(Dearborn County, Ind.) – You’ve probably seen countless television ads, mailers, and heard radio spots telling you who to vote for regarding state and federal elections.

But, when it comes to candidates for local offices such as judge, coroner, or county commissioner, the only thing most voters can tell you about the person is the color of their yard signs.

Eagle Country 99.3 wants to change that. We are once again partnering with the Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce to host a live, on-air debate among candidates for local offices.

The debates will take place at Ivy Tech Community College’s Riverfront Campus, 50 Walnut Street, in Lawrenceburg. The public is welcome to attend in person with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held in the fourth floor conference room. There is no admission charge.

Eagle Country 99.3 News Director Mike Perleberg will moderate the debates. He will be joined by Dearborn County Chamber of Commerce president and CEO Eric Kranz.

“Our aim is to provide voters with a better idea of where they stand on certain local issues, including taxes, drugs and heroin, road improvements, gaming revenues, business climate, and more. The questions will be timely and topical,” said Perleberg.
