Storms rolling through the tri-state overnight brought lightning accompanied by heavy rain.

Lightning may be to blame for causing a house fire in Hebron early Wednesday morning. The fire was reported at around 2:30 AM at a home on Rivermeade Drive. A cause is still under investigation.

Wind gusts up to 45 MPH were recorded at Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport. Damage reports to the National Weather Service in Wilmington included a tree down on wires on Cliff Road in Cleves.

The traffic signal on U.S. 50 at Walmart in Aurora was blinking red Wednesday morning, resulting in a significant slowdown on the busy section of highway.
